I learned about the Sustainable Maritime Engineering programme through the DAAD website. After five years of industry experience, I was looking for a Master’s programme with strong links to industry. Coming from marine and offshore design, I found that SME offered exactly the combination of topics I had been looking for. During my studies, I have been particularly impressed by how closely the courses reflect current industry practice and prepare students for future challenges.

After the Master’s degree, I would like to work on more complex maritime projects. The programme is helping me deepen my knowledge of propulsion, safety and sustainable technologies while giving me a broader understanding of modern ship and offshore engineering.
